PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester monofilament that can effectively develop highest loop strength and retains excellent tensile strength, causes no breakage of joint parts even under severe use, when it is used for industrial woven fabric and properly gives woven fabric having stable and high durability, and provide the production method and woven fabric for industry. SOLUTION: This polyester monofilament has a loop strength of more than 7.0 cN/dtex, a tensile strength of more than 2.0 cN/dtex and loop/tensile strength ratio of more than 150 %.
