PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting apparatus for metal titanium capable of producing a titanium ingot in which the concentration of impurities is uniform and also low. SOLUTION: In the melting apparatus for metal titanium provided with: a feeding means of feeding a raw material titanium material; a melting furnace of melting the raw material titanium material; and a transferring means of transferring the raw material titanium material into the melting furnace, fine grains or fine powder contained in the raw material titanium material are beforehand separated away by a separating means provided on the transferring means.
