PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hetero-nanocapsule, more concretely, a nanocapsule containing heteroatoms, and to provide a method of preparing the same. SOLUTION: The hetero-nanocapsule, which is a carbon nanocapsule containing heteroatoms, comprises a closed graphite layer represented by a chemical formula C(D)x, wherein C is carbon atom exhibiting sp<SP>2</SP>hybrid orbital, D is an atom of group 13, 15 or 16 of the periodic table, bonded to the carbon atom; and X is a molar equivalent from 0.0001 to 0.1, based on the molar equivalent of carbon atom as 1.
