PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processing device realizing the delivering and carrying of paper money by simple constitution, and reduction of cost and improvement of security, together with a returning mechanism of paper money. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a delivering and carrying control mechanism 500 for selectively delivering a plurality of paper money from a cassette 300 by a single driving source, a paper money reverse carrying control mechanism 700 for returning the paper money jumping out of the cassette 300 to the inside of the cassette 300, a lock mechanism 800 for preventing take-out of the paper money by rotation of a pickup roller 600 when taking out the cassette 300 from a cassette storing part 240, and a cassette attaching/detaching mechanism 900 for attaching/detaching the cassette 300.
