The invention relates to a method for controlling transmissions in an emission branch (6) of a bi-directional interface (1) comprising, in addition to the emission branch, a receiving branch (5) which is connected to the emission branch (6). Said method comprises the following steps: a) information is sent by means of the emission branch (6), and b) defined characteristics of the emitted information are evaluated by means of the receiving branch (5) of the same interface (1). According to the invention, parameters of the emission branch (6) are adjusted preferably according to the evaluation of the emitted information, in such a way that subsequent information can be sent using said parameters.
