CAPILLARY STOVE AND PRIMING SYSTEM WITH CONTROL

Liquid fuel priming systems and burn control apparatus for a portable camping stoves, and methods relating to the same, are disclosed. The priming system includes a substantially hollow cylinder exposed at one end to a fuel source and having a feed wick disposed therein. A jet orifice is provided at an end opposite to the exposed end. An optional dosing pump supplies fuel to the feed wick and causes a portion of the supplied fuel to exit the jet orifice and reside on the external surface of the hollow cylinder. Upon ignition of the external fuel, the internal fuel vaporizes and internal vapor pressure causes vaporized fuel to exit from the jet orifice, whereupon it is ignited. Select embodiments further include a vapor bias generator for ensuring directional ejection of vaporized fuel. In addition, burn control arrangements and methods are disclosed where CFV orifices are selectively occluded through the use of a throttle plate.
