[PROBLEMS] Neutralization equipment employing a-rays in which atmospheric ions produced through ionization by irradiating a-rays can touch an object to be neutralized efficiently while surely avoiding such a situation as the object to be neutralized is irradiated directly with a-rays emitted from an a-ray source. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The neutralization equipment employing a-rays comprises an a-ray shield box (10) provided with an ion discharging opening (11), and one or more a-ray sources (12) being contained in the a-ray shield box, wherein atmospheric ions produced through ionization by irradiating a-rays emitted from respective a-ray sources (12) are discharged from the ion discharging opening (11) to touch an object to be neutralized. The a-ray sources (12) in the a-ray shield box (10) are positioned such that the a-ray particles being emitted therefrom do not reach the object to be neutralized and atmospheric ions are produced through ionization at a position facing the ion discharging opening (11).
