PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device in which a sliding unit between a rack and a pinion is lubricated with lubrication grease having sufficient durability even under a severe condition. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises an electric motor 4 to output the steering support force to a steering mechanism in response to the operation of the steering mechanism, a controller 6 to control the electric motor 4, a rack bar 33 which is movably provided in a rack housing 32 and provided with a rack 35, and a pinion 31 rotatably supported by the rack housing 32 via a bearing 34 and engaged with the rack 35 formed on the rack bar 33. A sliding unit having the rack 35 and the pinion 31 is lubricated with grease composition, and the grease composition contains compounds containing sulfur element in its molecular structure as an additive.
