PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil additive that improves filtration of a mineral-oil-based oil. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil additive wherein a 12-20C polyalkyl methacrylate polymer constitutes a weight ratio between 0.1 and 0.3% of a purified lubricating oil is added to a mineral-oil-based lubricating oil, so as to improve filtration of the mineral-oil-based lubricating oil.
