PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid treatment apparatus being an apparatus for treating water with magnetism, which is constituted so that the work of setting the position of a water passage of a water pipe in a magnetic flux-converged portion can automatically be done accurately when this apparatus is fit to the water pipe and the water passage of the water pipe can be prevented from being deviated from the position of a permanent magnet even when a fixing ring is loosened after this apparatus is fit and which can be surely prevented from being dropped out of the water pipe. SOLUTION: This water treatment apparatus (M) is provided with a pair of pinching blocks (1, 1a) the distance between which can be adjusted and fixed. The permanent magnet is arranged in each of the opposed parts of pinching blocks (1, 1a). Positioning members (2, 2a) are arranged between pinching blocks (1 and 1a). Grooves (20, 21) are arranged on both sides of each of positioning members (2, 2a) so that, when the distance between pinching blocks (1 and 1a) is increased or decreased, the distance between positioning members (2 and 2a) is also increased or decreased following the movement.
