THREAD GUARD APPARATUS FOR SEWING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a thread guard apparatus whose guiding path is formed easily and which is small and inexpensive by improving the degree of freedom of the guiding path which guides a driving transmission member. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with: a first thread conveying member 54 for guard a needle thread from a spool to a thread tension guide, a thread take-up spring and a needle thread take-up; a grooved part 51 where a guiding groove 51c for guiding the first thread conveying member 54 nearly in the state of an inverse J shape is formed so that the first thread conveying member 54 may move along a prescribed thread conveying path; a guiding part forming member 53 where a guiding part 53 nearly in the state of an inverse J shape along the guiding groove 51c is formed; a first stepping motor for driving the first thread conveying member 54; and a tooth belt 52 which transmits driving of the first stepping motor to the first thread conveying member 54 and where teeth 52a are arranged at the guiding groove 51c facing the outside of a loop.
