The invention relates to a tappet (1), which can be periodically acted upon, for a valve actuating mechanism, comprising a hollow cylindrical skirt (4), which is closed on a face (2) by a bottom (3), can, via its outer surface (5), be placed inside a guide bore (6) of a surrounding structure (7), and which has a recess (8) with an anti-twist stop (9) positioned therein. Said anti-twist stop (9) projects, with a radially outer section (10), beyond the skirt (4), and this outer section (10) can be guided inside a longitudinal groove (12) that intersects with the guide bore (6). A thin-walled ring (14) encircles on an inner surface (13) of the skirt (4) and, in the area of the recess (8), has an indentation (15) with a radially inner section (16) of the anti-twist stop (9) extending inside the indentation, and the anti-twist stop (9) is provided in the form of a plastic part directly injection molded onto the recess (8). |
