The device has a heating unit (5) arranged in the area of a temperature sensor (2), where the unit and the sensor are insertable together in a fluid (F). The sensor is surrounded by a sensor body (3), such that the body and the unit are arranged at certain distance from each other. The sensor and the unit are connected with connecting contacts (8) via electrical conductors (6, 7) that partly run in the body. An independent claim is also included for an application of a measuring device for determining a boiling temperature of a fluid e.g. brake fluid.
