The method involves transmitting a request message for registration of a communication terminal (201) in a service communication network, to a control unit via a mobile communication network (202). An acknowledgement message notifying a successful registration of the terminal and containing configuration parameter values is transmitted to the terminal by the unit to permit the terminal to use specified communication services.
