<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in a writing process of data to an optical disk by optimizing the angle of an objective lens and laser power (hereunder abbreviated as LP). <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk device has an optical pickup, an actuator which holds the objective lens of the optical pickup, a control means and a storing means. The control means repeats following steps for a prescribed number of times, i.e., a tilt control step in which the objective lens is tilted at a prescribed tilt angle, an OPC step in which a temporary optimum LP is obtained by an OPC operation and a storing step in which the tilt angle of the objective lens and the temporary optimum LP are stored in the storing means. In the optical disk device, the LP of the sample data in which the temporary optimum LP becomes minimum is set as an optimum LP, the objective lens is set to the tilt angle at the time when the optimum LP is made and data recording is performed with the optimum LP. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
