<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cerebral function-ameliorating composition usable for wide-ranging food and drink, and medicines, and preventing, ameliorating, retarding or treating dementia, Alzheimer's syndrome, or the like; and to provide the food and drink, and the medicine containing the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The cerebral function-ameliorating composition contains a fruit or juice of Emblic myrobalan, or an extract thereof.
