<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust acoustic characteristics such as sound volume differences, etc. between channels in a short time for an acoustic device with many voice channels. <P>SOLUTION: An acoustic characteristic adjusting device 20 is used with the acoustic device 10 which reproduces and outputs acoustic signals of many channels, and adjusts the acoustic characteristics for every channels. The acoustic device is given test signals whose amplitude components are equal for every channels, and furthermore, frequency components are different, and a control part 23 performs fourier transform for the reproduced output from the acoustic device, obtains a result of the frequency analysis, and gets acoustic pressure components, phase components, and sound volumes for every channels according to the results. Additionally, the control part obtains sound volume differences between channels based on the sound volumes of every channels, decides attenuation amounts of every channels according to the sound volume differences, makes them as determined attenuation amounts, decides amplitude amounts of every channels based on the sound volume components, and makes them as determined amplitude volumes. Moreover, the control part obtains lag times for every channels according to the phase components, makes them as determined lag times, adjusts determined attenuation amounts, determined amplitude amounts, and determined lag times for every channels according to the determined attenuation amounts, the determined amplitude amounts, and determined lag times, and adjusts and controls the acoustic characteristics. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
