摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve applicability by making it possible to continuously control rigidity of a suspension device including roll rigidity and suspension rigidity. SOLUTION: A rigidity controlling mechanism 1 is interposed on a separated end part 3c of torsion bar parts 3a, 3b by separating a torsion bar 3 into the torsion bar parts 3a, 3b. This mechanism 1 is furnished with a holder 6 fitted on a separated end part of the parts 3a, 3b and the holder is rigidly connected to the part 3b and made rotattable relative to the parts 3a. A plate spring 7 extending radially outward is projected to the separated end part of the part 3a and it is projected from an opening 6a of the holder 6. A pair of rollers 8 (only one of them can be seen) to be engaged with the plate spring 7 is provided around an axis of the parts 3a, 3b and both ends of these rollers are supported by supports 10, 11 free to rotate. Rods 14, 15 along both side edges of the plate spring 7 are projected to the holder 6, the supports 10, 11 are fitted on these rods 14, 15 free to control position in the rod axial direction and this positional control is performed by motors 20, 21.
