PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device capable of removing a gas in a filter chamber without wastefully discharging a liquid such as an ink. SOLUTION: This liquid jet device 10 comprises a liquid jet head 30 having a nozzle 55A for ejecting a liquid, a liquid storage section 2 for storing a liquid, and a liquid channel for supplying the liquid from the liquid storage section 2 to the nozzle 55A. A gas absorption means 70 for absorbing a gas which is mixed and/or dissolved in the liquid is provided to the liquid channel. The gas absorption means 70 is equipped with a gas permeable wall 70b for allowing a gas to permeate and a pressure reduced space 70a of which the pressure is reduced to be lower than the atmospheric air pressure.
