PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating unit and a floating mechanism in which centripetal force to a movable member can be increased, handling can be improved, and a sufficient centripetal force can be obtained even in the case arranged in slanted state or arranged perpendicularly. SOLUTION: The floating unit comprises a fixed member 3, a movable member 4, and rolling members 10 provided capable of rolling between the both 3, 4. Magnets 7, 8 having different magnetic poles are arranged on the fixed member 3 and the movable member 4 at locations mutually facing each other.
