PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type screen superior in the characteristic of the angle of view and the utilization efficiency of light, and to provide a rear type projector equipped with the transmission type screen. SOLUTION: The member for the transmission type screen 1 is manufactured by a method including a step of forming a 1st layer containing positive type photopolymer on the surface of a microlens base plate 3 on a side opposite from the surface on a side where a microlens 32 is formed, a step of exposing the 1st layer by irradiating the 1st layer with light condensed by the microlens 32, a step of forming a black matrix 4 having an aperture part 41 by developing processing, a step of forming a 2nd layer containing negative type photopolymer on the surface on a side where the black matrix 4 is formed, a step of exposing the 2nd layer by irradiating the 2nd layer with the light condensed by the microlens 32, and a step of forming a light-diffusing part 5 composed of a material containing a diffusion material 51 by the developing processing.
