PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc/roller type continuously variable transmission with a roller biasing cylinder device located on the lower side, whose central portion has a groove where a counter shaft is arranged, for preventing oil in a lubricating oil layer arising on the upper face of the cylinder device from being agitated by the counter shaft. SOLUTION: A damming boss is provided at the edge of the upper opening of the groove for damming oil flowing from the upper face of the cylinder device into the groove. Otherwise, a shaft cover is provided for isolating a portion of the counter shaft passing through the groove from the oil flowing from the edge of the upper opening of the groove along the wall face of the groove or from oil residing in the groove.
