PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package component in which an optical waveguide connective body is housed of suppressing change of optical characteristics accompanied by an environmental change while assuring mechanical strength, and also to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The package component 1 includes; a first fiber array 40 in which an optical fiber 101 of a first optical fiber member 100 introduced into the inside of a case main body 11-1 through an optical fiber member introducing part 21a is fixed; a second fiber array 50 in which multi-core (8 lines) optical fibers of a second optical fiber member 200 introduced into the inside of the case main body through an optical fiber member introducing part 13a are fixed; silicon series adhesives 17 which are in a gel state in a hardened state, and which fix an optical waveguide connective body 20 consisting of an optical waveguide device 30 connected to respective fiber arrays in the case 10; and silicon rubber series adhesives 16 which fix individual optical fiber members introduced through the optical fiber member introducing parts to corresponding optical fiber member introducing parts.
