PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm unit that can easily and finely adjust the position of a heat detection element after the heat detection element is assembled into a casing. SOLUTION: The alarm unit has the heat detection element A where a pair of lead wires 2 are extended from a thermistor section 1 having temperature dependent resistance, an insulated, covered, and hard coat section 8 is disposed on the thermistor section 1 side of the lead wires 2, and a hard base end 6 buried under the insulating material is formed on the opposite side to the thermistor section 1. The base end 6 is mounted to a circuit board 31 disposed in the casing 32 at an erected attitude, and the thermistor section 1 is arranged so as to project from an opening 33 formed in the casing 32. A position adjusting section 9 for adjusting the position of the thermistor section 1 with respect to the opening 33 is disposed between the covered section 8 and the base end 6, and a part and half or more part of the length L of the coat section 8 is projected from the opening 33.
