PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a signal monitoring device capable of outputting, without much delay, a continuous analog signal which is insulated from the electric potential of the signal to be measured and very close to its waveform. SOLUTION: An input circuit for inputting a measured signal and an input part consisting of a part A/D converting input signal are insulated from the ground potential. The digital data after A/D conversion is sent to an arithmetic part or a memory element by way of an insulation element. The signal from the arithmetic part is D/A converted and a value of the measured signal is obtained with the monitoring device in which a control circuit is provided in between the arithmetic part and the D/A converter. A controlling circuit for controlling the output of the D/A converter is provided so that continuous analog signal very close to the waveform of the input signal is output in almost real time.
