PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular back guide display device capable of checking the back side to immediately back a vehicle even immediately after an engine is started. SOLUTION: The vehicular back guide display device comprises a rear image pickup means to pick up an image of a rear periphery of a vehicle, a display unit to display the rear picked-up image and other images or information different from the rear picked-up image, an ignition signal monitoring means to monitor the ignition signal of the vehicle, a shift lever monitoring means to monitor the range position of a shift lever of the vehicle, and a guide control means to control these means. When the opening image to be displayed before a regular service state is obtained after the power is supplied is displayed, and the shift lever is set to back, the display is interrupted by the guide control means and the rear image is displayed.
