PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a synthetic rubber latex containing few large particles such as agglomerates. SOLUTION: The method for producing the synthetic rubber latex is one comprising a step of preparing a seed polymer by the emulsion polymerization of a conjugated diene (a1), a carboxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b1), and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c1) other than the monomer (b1) and a step of carrying out emulsion polymerization of a conjugated diene (a2), a carboxy group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b2), and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (c2) other than the monomer (b2) in the presence of the seed polymer, wherein the monomers in each of the pairs (a1) and (a2), (b1) and (b2), and (c1) and (c2) are the same compounds.
