<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an auto power-off function applicable to battery drive employed with consideration on portability cannot be adapted to the diversified usage brought about by combination of printing other than connection to a PC, because the printer is used for printing in connection with the PC in a variety of usage patterns. <P>SOLUTION: An auto power-off time setting means sets a set time in the state of being unconnected to the PC shorter than in the state of being connected to the PC, and an auto power-off control means performs an auto power-off operation when an auto power-off measuring time is equal to/longer than a time set by the auto power-off time setting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
