<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing apparatus, in the system for reproducing AV information from a storage medium such as a DVD, which can not only reproduce an ordinary title but also easily obtain the information related to the predetermined stream information, using simplified manipulations by utilizing the resources of a computer network. <P>SOLUTION: In the reproducing apparatus provided with a function to reproduce the title information recorded on a DVD 40 and display this information on a screen of a display 10, when the Web mark displayed on the screen is clicked, a CPU 1 links a modem 6 to the Web server over the Internet to access the Web page related to the stream information on the screen. In this timing, title information is temporarily suspended and the Web page accessed is displayed on the screen.
