PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program change method that reduces the amount of information written to a programmable controller in changing a program. SOLUTION: The program change method of a sequence program for the programmable controller having a sequence program with a plurality of identical functional block circuits includes a step of sending program change information 50 for changing the sequence program from an external device connected to the programmable controller, a step of storing the program change information 50 in the programmable controller, and a step of changing the sequence program of the programmable controller according to the stored program change information 50. The program change information 50 has circuit change information 51 about functional block circuits to be changed, and a plurality of leading addresses storing the functional block circuits to be changed in the sequence program.
