PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parts production planning method of optimally setting the production of parts on a parts production line without increasing the stock of parts, and of leveling a part production load. SOLUTION: The part production planning method for creating a production order plan 22 for necessary parts when receiving a production order plan 12 for producing finished cars includes: registering parts specification information, parts similarity information, and parts-based production order pattern information in advance (25); dividing the parts production order plan into sections 32a each for a predetermined number of cars (32); comparing the parts production order plan with the production order plan for finished cars and causing a shift so that production is advanced by the section for the predetermined number of cars (22); converting the parts produced on the parts production line into the previously registered parts specification information for each section of the parts production order plan; putting together and rearranging the pieces of parts specification information along with the sections in accordance with the previously registered similarity information (35); and collating the pieces of parts specification information with the previously registered parts-based production order patterns.
