PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity and a low residual potential, and to provide an electrophotographic apparatus and a process cartridge which does not cause the deterioration of low residual potential properties while keeping high sensitivity and is capable of obtaining excellent image without the deterioration of image density and the scumming even when being used repeatedly for a long term. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor of lamination type, at least an intermediate layer and a charge generation layer are formed on a conductive base body, the intermediate layer contains metal oxide fine particles, and the intermediate layer and the charge generation layer contain an anthraquinone derivative. Further, when an electric field of 10<SP>6</SP>V/m is applied at humidity of 85%RH, the intermediate layer exhibits volume resistivity of 1×10<SP>8</SP>to 1×10<SP>13</SP>Ωcm.
