Equipment (9) added in the intermittent-advance section of the track, is automatically and correctly located, when advancement stroke magnitude alters. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding system. This includes the additional equipment (9), a drive (12) with motor (13), displacement transducer and transmitter (22). Preferred features: A sensor, e.g. photocell, detects stroke departure from the desired value. The error is processed in a computer to a corrective magnitude. This is further processed in accordance with individual equipment spacing along the line, to determine individual adjustment path magnitudes required, to reach null locations. In the equipment, a rack and pinion or spindle drive is employed. An e.g. photocell (18) is connected to the controller. The processing unit standing at the null position (P0) is a plastic welder. |
