<p>Methods aiding in the diagnosis of epithelial cancer or a risk of epithelial cancer are disclosed, in which the level of adiponectin is assessed in a test sample. Representative epithelilal cancers include endothelial cancer, endometrial cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, colorectal cancer, leukemia, renal cancer, liver cancer, neuroblastoma ovarian cancer and prostate cancer. Also disclosed are methods of treating these cancers or other epithelial cancers, comprising administering an adiponectin therapeutic agent.</p> |
