There are provided an information processing device and method, a recording medium, and a program enabling speakers at a remote distance to view the same content and specify an arbitrary position on the video of the content. When users A and B move their finger tips so that their finger tips point positions which the users want to specify on the video of the content, motion vectors are detected and predetermined areas including the detected positions are isolated and a-blended as a pointer (94) of the user A and a pointer (95) of the user B in the video of the content. In order to correspond the two pointers isolated from a video (91) to the users A and B, for example, different cybercodes (2-dimensional code)(101) are mounted on the fingers of the users A and B. The present invention can be applied, for example, to a communication device between remote locations.
