<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber-compounded metallic material in which carbon nanofiber is uniformly dispersed, and whose rigidity is improved as well, and to provide its production method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a carbon fiber-compounded metallic material comprises: a stage (a) where an elastomer 30, a reinforcing filler 50 and carbon nanofiber 40 are mixed and also dispersed by shearing force to obtain a carbon fiber-compounded material; and a stage (b) where the elastomer in the carbon fiber-compounded material is substituted for a metallic material.
