<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film/electrode structure for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell provided with superior power generation performance and durability, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell provided with the film/electrode structure. <P>SOLUTION: In the film/electrode structure for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell in which a polymer electrolyte film 2 is pinched by a pair of electrodes 1 containing a catalyst, the polymer electrolyte film 1 is composed of a constituting unit (A) having an ion conductive component composed of a sulfonic acid group, and a constituting unit (B) which is composed of only a nonion conductive component and in which the number average molecule weight measured by gel permeation chromatography is within a range of 1,000 to 12,000. The copolymer is a block copolymer in which the constituting unit (A) and the constituting unit (B) have a covalent bond.
