<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel which can expand effective areas at four corner parts of an upper substrate and prevent generation of a Newton ring. <P>SOLUTION: In the touch panel, a rectangle upper substrate having a transparent electrode and a routing electrode on the lower surface of its flexible transparent insulating substrate is arranged at a prescribed interval facing a rectangle lower substrate having a transparent electrode and a routing electrode on the upper surface of its transparent insulating substrate, and the outer circumferences of the upper and lower substrates are wound with an insulating sealing material to join the upper substrate with the lower one, and the routing electrodes of the upper and lower substrates are slightly thicker than the sealing material, the upper substrate curving outward and having an inclination. In this case, the interval in the vertical direction between the sealing material and the routing electrode arranged adjacent to the sealing material along the inner side of the sealing material is almost the same as the interval in the horizontal direction between the sealing material and the routing electrode facing each other. The interval between the corner of the sealing material and the corner of the routing electrode in their connecting direction is set to be larger than the interval in the vertical or horizontal direction between the corner of the sealing material and the corner of the routing electrode facing each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
