PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce outside dimension and weight and improve reliability of gas sealing by improving a connection structure of a cover and an outside yoke used as a casing too. SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with a piston 3 inserted in a cylinder 1 with a gap 1 held therebetween and forming a compression space 4 for working gas, linear drive part 8, 10 reciprocating the piston 3, the yoke 6 arranged around the piston 3, forming a magnetic path of the linear drive part 8, 10 and used as the casing, and the cover 13 connected to an end part of the yoke 6. The cover 13 and the yoke 6 are joined by screwing and also welding to be air-tightly sealed to form a gas chamber 15 communicating with the compression space 4 of the working gas through the gap 2.
