PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easily and efficiently applying correction of hues and saturation within a predetermined color region to an image which cannot be wholly corrected by the brightness of an image as a whole or color conversion. SOLUTION: An input image is loaded into a RAM 202 (S1); the contrast and color balance of the input image are corrected (S2, S3); a predetermined color region is extracted from the corrected image (S4); and it is determined whether there is a predetermined color region (S5).
