PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of synchronously reproducing a desired program content and a data broadcast content. SOLUTION: A reproducing unit includes a storage 220 for storing a transport stream (TS) where the program content and the data broadcast content are multiplexed; a reproduction location decision section 232 for acquiring control information containing reproduction time information and preread information for each unit that is one portion of the program content; a designation reception means 230 for receiving the designation of an optional time position on the time base of TS; an AV read 242 for reading the unit corresponding to the designated time position; a Data read part 244 reads from the TS for the data broadcast content synchronously reproduced with a designated unit based on the preread information; and a reproduction section 250 for synchronously reproducing the designated unit and the data broadcast content.
