PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount device of a free outward form for improving productivity by freely revising an outside dimension, in particular, an outside plane dimension. SOLUTION: The surface mount crystal device including an external terminal at the outer bottom side of a package body containing at least a crystal chip is configured as the free outward form characterized in that a mount base whose outside plane dimension is greater than that of the package body and including a mount terminal electrically connected to the external terminal is mounted on the outer bottom side of the package body. Further, the inner bottom side of the package body has an inner terminal electrically connected to the crystal chip and the external terminal is electrically connected to the inner terminal to configure a crystal vibrator.
