PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a receiver to recognize the connection of an external input apparatus even when a mechanism structure for short-circuiting divided GND does not exist at a connector section and a cable terminal. SOLUTION: When an external input apparatus 6 is connected with the connection terminal of a receiver 1 in the connection detecting system, a signal GND line in a connector 7, i.e. the cable terminal of the external input apparatus 6, is connected with or disconnected from the logic output circuit 4 of the receiver 1. Consequently, the logic output circuit 4 switches the logic output between Low and Hi, and a receiver microcomputer 8 can recognize connection of the external input apparatus 6.
