PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus enabling a user who wears thick gloves and a user who is handicapped in fingers to easily perform predetermined designation input while holding a camera. SOLUTION: Straps for holding 22 and 24 are respectively provided on the respective side surfaces of a 1st housing 12 and a 2nd housing 14, that is, a 1st side surface 12B and a 2nd side surface 14B. The straps for holding 22 and 24 are arranged along in the longitudinal directions of the 1st side surface 12B and the 2nd side surface 14B. Both ends of the straps for holding 22 and 24 are fixed on the 1st side surface 12B and the 2nd side surface 14B by fasteners 26 with allowance to such an extent that a gap (gap in which the user can insert his (her) hand) is formed between the 1st side surface 12B and the strap for holding 22 and between the 2nd side surface 14B and the strap for holding 24.
