PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roadbed material which has a good performance and can utilize a large amount of slag discharged from a refuse incinerator or in other waste disposal steps. SOLUTION: The roadbed material is obtained by mixing the slag derived from waste disposal to soil in a volume ratio of (1-4):1 to obtain a mixed soil material and further mixing 40-80 kg lime solidifier per 1 m<SP>3</SP>of the mixed soil material. The slag is molten slag obtained by melting ash from refuse incinerator or sewage sludge at a high temperature, rapidly cooling it with water and molding it into a gravel form.
