PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting apparatus mounting device capable of easily mounting a lifting apparatus on a support member and enabling a reduction in cost for lifting and a method of mounting a lifting apparatus for an elevator. SOLUTION: A mounting base 6 is mounted on a supporting hook 4 through a mounting rod. A lifting body 7 having a locking hook 17 is suspended from the mounting base 6 through a suspension rope 8. The mounting base 6 comprises a hooking bolt 11 capable of hooking the locking hook 17, guide plates 23 and 27 for guiding the locking hook 17 to the hooking bolt 11, and a mounting base return pulley 14 around which the suspension rope 8 is wound. The lifting body 7 is so formed that an electric chain block 9 can be mounted thereon. The lifting body 7 is suspended from the mounting base 6 by one end part 8a of the suspension rope 8, and raised by pulling the other end part 8b of the suspension rope 8.
