PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is difficult to take out an attachment in a housed state, since a housing part is small, in an attachment housing part for a vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with: a housing part 55 provided at the top surface of a vacuum cleaner main body for housing the attachment; a housing cover 56 covering the housing part 55 and provided openably; and an attachment hooking part 1 provided to the rear surface of the housing cover 56. When the attachment 3 is placed in the housing part 55 and the housing cover 56 is closed, the attachment hooking part 1 is fitted into the attachment 3 to hold this. When the housing cover 56 is opened, the attachment 3 is held in the housing cover 56 and detached from the housing part 55.
