PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet having a particularly soft feel, an excellent touch even when a person comes into direct contact with the carpet with the bare skin and the unconventional feel, wherein pile curled like poodle hairs is embedded. SOLUTION: Filament yarns provided with high crimp are sewn. Unsewing the yarns after thermally setting provides bendable threads. Making the threads pile threads provides even thin threads with excellent covering properties and produces the carpet provided with the unconventional feel. The carpet threads are manufactured by a method for including a process for producing a knit fabric by fibers untwisted or twisted and consisting of multifilaments having monofilament fineness of 1-10 decitex, a rate of irregularility of the monofilament of 1.2-3.5 and a percentage of crimp of 5.0-35%, a process for thermally setting the fabric and a process for unsewing the fabric after thermally setting.
