<p>A button switch device for an elevator, in which a switch section fixed to a board is operated by the displacement of a push button section having light transmission ability. A light emission section is provided on the board. Light from the light emission section is reflected by a reflection section fixed relative to the board. The reflected light from the reflection section is scattered by a light scattering section to the push button section side.
