A sequence of polymer combinations of the polymers specified in the catalogue is formed and at least two polymer combinations emerge which contain a different number of polymers as constituents. At least one part-sequence of the polymer combinations are obtained by the step-wise maximizing or minimizing of a specifiable function g, which is dependent on the observed evidence of the polymer combinations formed from the catalogue polymers. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for the identification of proteins.
